Katrine Horn, a rising star from the North first shot over the musical horizon in Denmark, where she was born. Very early on her passion for the harp illuminated her life. Her orbit soon took her to The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, then to Paris. Under these foreign skies she pursued her course with Marie-Claire Jamet and Anne Ricquebourg. Drawing myriads of crystalline notes from her harp her path crossed that of Jean-Claude Mara (panpipist), Sofie Guillois Larsen (harpist) and Rachël Esmoris (mezzo-soprano), allowing her to explore the sometimes powerful, sometimes ethereal sounds of her instrument. She currently takes a look at the condition of women in her new show One is not Born a Woman… uniting the harp with song, mime and acting to create an intimate world peopled by characters who in turn move us, rebel and who even prove mischievous at times.

Katrine presents Ces illustres inconnus, her new CD of French harp music inviting us to (re)discover composers who have excelled in bringing out all the harp's subtle delicacy and refinement.
